Investar® Renewable Energy

Investar® and its partners are developing photovoltaic solar electric generation facilities in states from a minimum of 1 Megawatt in states where the Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SREC’s) are favorable for such alternative energy projects. Investar’s partnering installation company, Great Northern Electric (www.GNElectric.com), has over 12 years of experience in the construction of solar facilities. The experience of Great Northern Electric combined with the extensive project development and funding expertise of the Investar® team, creates an ideal solution based group to complete successful solar projects.

The projects are backed by an investment grade Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), and long term SREC sale agreements. The PPA’s are typically a minimum of 20 years in length with appropriate escalation clauses. More information is provided on specific solar programs in our “In the News” tab.
